Receive your unique camp supplies delivered to your door (packaged for each hour long session for your convenience). Sing in to the zoom and give your child the package for that session (log in available 15 minutes vefore class starts for children to share off screen activity results and have some informal social sharing time). Your child will enjoy 10 hours of experiemnts online with teir scientist or artis and friends! After the online session ends, your child will have additional activities off screen, activities are provided with every session in order for them to have maximum fun with less time in front of a screen.

Monday 6/22 Aboriginal Dot Art & Block Print Wallpaper: Afternoon Session: Block Print Wallpaper - World travel is great for mixing up new ideas. Block printing concepts from the east were brought to the west, and the art of wallpaper began in Europe. Let's admire European wallpaper styles and then design and print our own block patterns.

Tuesday 6/23 Animal Sculptures & Rattle Drums: Afternoon Session: Rattle Drums - This camp day cultivates the art of writing with Chinese calligraphy. We will learn the importance of movement and flow with a calligraphy-style brush technique, and turn ideas into images. We'll preserve Chinese characters on a rattle drum, called a Bo Lang Gu, to play at home!

Wednesday 6/24 Imperial Jeweled Eggs & Tiki Masks Afternoon Session: Tiki Masks - Let's set sail for the South Pacific! The people of the Polynesian islands believed that they needed to stay connected with nature in order to live comfortably. They created tikis , or carvings, to connect with personifications of the forces of nature. We will think about our connections with nature and design tiki masks for our homes.
Thursday 6/25 Mud Art & Fish Printing Afternoon Session: Fish Printing Let s learn about some traditional Japanese art forms. Japanese fishermen used to make prints of the fish they caught, to document the size and species. This became a popular art form. Elaborate screens were also an element in many Japanese homes. We will create fish prints, and miniature, desk-sized screens.
Friday 6/26 Truck Art & Pacific Coast Art Afternoon Session: Pacific Coast Art - We will learn about the Pacific First Nations peoples traditions of symbols, crests and totem poles. Learning from their style and their heritage, we will draw our own stylized figures, and then sculpt them onto a miniature totem pole.
