The lesser known British invasion of the mid 20th century, Pop Art is an art movement that launched in Britain in the mid- 1950’s and made its way to the US a few years later. Inspired by popular culture and influenced by advertising, news, TV, movies, music and comic books, pop art aimed to elevate pop culture to the level of fine art. In this workshop, students will explore pop art and revolutionary pop artists, including Warhol, Lichtenstein, Romero Britto and more.
